This edition collects the original three-issue series, enhanced with additional artwork and improvements, making it a perennial delight for fans of The Hobbit. The vivid illustrations by David Wenzel perfectly complement Tolkien’s timeless story, making it accessible and engaging for readers of all ages.
This was my favorite book as an early teenager. It was filled with adventure, vivid imagery, and unforgettable characters. It introduced me to Tolkien’s world, and after reading it, I eagerly watched The Lord of the Rings movies and asked for The Silmarillion. Despite being a short read, it was incredibly fun and left a lasting impression on me. I read it in one summer day, couple weeks before going into school.
